Merry
Christmas from the Wells Family!
Wishing
you the joy of the season
| Dear
Jim,
Here is our annual update for
the Wells Family and what is happening
in our lives in 2005 and what we
are looking forward to in 2006:
|
Christmas
with the Wells - 2005
2005 has been a blessed
year of celebration for
the Wells Family. After
a difficult 2004, which
included the death of Jim’s
father, we were richly
blessed by the happenings
in this season. 2005 saw
Jim enjoy great success
with real estate this year,
and was presented an
opportunity to get involved
on the
development side of the
business with the some
of the largest land developers
in North Georgia. This
includes the gorgeous golf-lifestyle
community in Jackson County,
TRADITIONS
of Braselton.
He has also enjoyed greatly
being part of a "Wild
at Heart" Men's Group
through church, and being
the monthly "teaching
pastor"
to several hundred K-5th
grade kids, and coaching
Baseball and Basketball
at North Metro.
Amy has jumped back into
the outside workforce this
year as well! After a previous
career in teaching and
5 years of full time homeschooling
our kids, Amy now teaches
2 days a week at Fideles
Christian School which
is referred to as a “homeschool
school”. The kids are all
enrolled there, and Amy
is teaching 7th and 8th
grade English. She and
all the kids are loving
it!
Caleb is included with everyone
in school for the first time – he is in Kindergarten
and excelling! He moved from North Metro preschool,
and along with Mackenzie and Luke, are each
one grade level ahead and doing very well.
Along with jumping into school he also got
to enjoy his first year in team sports playing
baseball on the Volcanoes and in November,
around his 5th birthday, he was accelerated
into the Masters program at the
Dojo, where
we all take martial arts.
Mackenzie has done wonderfully in school, is
very creative with her writing, and loves her
new friends at school. At 7, she has become
immersed in gymnastics over at GGA and has
just been moved up to the next level – you
just can’t stop her from flipping these days!
Her passion to write creative and adventurous
stories is an inspiration to Daddy in writing
and illustrating our family children books.
Luke is growing into a strapping
young lad. A couple of weeks ago he, after
4 years of
dedication and hard work, he passed his Novice
Black belt test – a tremendous feet, and was
awarded it after a grueling, all-day physical
test – a week before his 9th birthday! He continues
to show gifting in building and engineering
and we encourage him with as many LEGOs as
can fit into a single home! Luke and Mackenzie
will both be in the Church Christmas presentation
this Christmas eve for all 4 services - in
front of some 5000 people - please be praying
for them and if you can, come cheer them on!
We are in our 8th year leading Small Groups
at Crossroads
Church. We have built some of
most treasured and enduring friendships over
the years from Small Groups. This year has
been one of the most rewarding seasons in ministry.
We are blessed to have a group that is living
out Acts 2:46-47 and Hebrews 10:25. Tonight
we even go caroling much to the chagrin of
our neighbors! Truly though, we consider ourselves
richly blessed to be with others dedicated
to growing in their faith of Jesus Christ – and
having a blast doing it!
September 17th, our extended family gathered
at Jim’s Mother’s home in Dunwoody GA to reminisce
and celebrate Jim’s Father, Rod, on his posthumous
birthday. Unbelievably, the local newspaper,
the Dunwoody Town Crier, had just come
out with a large expanded edition about the
formation of Dunwoody. There, on a two page
spread, was the article with two large pictures
of Rodney Wells from 40 years ago, credited
with the fighting for, the formation of, and
the founding Presidency of the Dunwoody Home
Owners Association. Standing in front of the
courthouse, an unwound scroll across the length
of the courthouse steps full of signatures
brought into the fold to insure a hometown
of enduring great development, Rod Wells was
there fighting for a greater cause, and serving
his fellow man.
Email
us and tell us about your 2005! ... |

Our prayer this Christmas season, and
gift to you, is that you remember the joys
of this year and can celebrate family
and friends this 2005, giving thanks for
all your blessings, as well as your past
to bring you here. And we pray that you
have intense hope, looking forward to the
next season to come, seeking and fighting
for the greater cause, and serving your
fellow man in 2006. Merry Christmas
to all ~ the Wells Family
Sincerely,
