TRADITIONS WALK PLANS
Tom Kitchin of Mulberry Village, LLC said Traditions walk will
feature a second branch location for Hometown Community Bank (the
first is located on GA. Hwy 53) a Ben & Jerry's ice cream store,
and other hometown friendly shops and stores.
Kitchin,
who aso developed the Mulberry Walk Shopping Center
in front of the Mulberry Park subdivision on Ga.
Hwy 211 in Braselton, said the new center will have
a "home-town community atmosphere" with
a clock tower as its centerpiece.
"We're really excited about the location and the area," he said. The
company is also looking to have a dance studio, tanning salon, exercise and fitness
center, resturants, mail package store, and other specialty shops, he added.
Kitchin has said the possible opening date should be by the end of 2007 or early
2008.

Council along with representatives
from the Gipson Company, the Loggins
Family, Joe N. Guy Company (builder),
Robertson Lola Roof Co. (architect),
and the Chamber of Commerce came
together to break ground on Loggins
Corner Shopping Center with Kroger
as the anchor store on Old Pendergrass
Road in Jefferson. Other tenants
are Beef O'Bradys Restaurant, a family-style
Pizza restaurant, a local dry cleaners,
and nail salon. The new Kroger, opening
in January 2007, will be a prototype
store. Jay Gipson, Vice President,
The Gipson Company stated, "We
do projects everywhere. This is the
most progressive City and the most
helpful. They guided us down the
path of success."

Final renderings
were just submitted the week of
August The Lakeland, Fla-based
grocery store will anchor the 14.5
acre site, which will have 69,000
square feet of building space and
four out-parcels for development
according to Sherry Yonge of Halverson
Development Corp. She has confirmed
final plans for the 45,600 square-foot
store to be located just outside
of Traditions of Braselton on the
corner of Hwy. 332 and Ga. Hwy
124. Yonge said Publix is expected
to open in late 2007/early 2008,
with construcion beginning about
eight
months prior.
