Jim Wells has lived his entire
life in the greater Atlanta area. His father Rodney
Wells started and was President the first two terms of
the Dunwoody
Home
Owners Association, paving a way for two sons to be passionate
about serving others and performing with excellence in
the real estate arena . Having lived in all around Atlanta,
Jim
graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens. He has
worked in and throughout the Atlanta area, and traveled
nationally
-
finding that
Georgia is still the place to call home.
With a background in corporate
sales and marketing, Jim joined with 2 partners
and started a company that raised $27 million and was poised
for a public offering
prior to the Internet market tumbling. A testimony to what
they colectively built is the ongoing success of that company
in a competitive marketplace
that gross's tens of millions of dollars annually and includes
many corporate accounts that he worked to bring in including
HBO, Pacific Life, and Microsoft.
Partnering with his brother Grant
Wells several years ago, they
jointly represented over 20 years of real estate experience
with the "Wells Sells Team", Jim
brought
his sales and marketing expertise to the local real estate
business. Together they were able to pursue business in several
arenas including residential, land transactions, lake property,
and commercial deals. During this time Jim also worked with
developers and custom builders on new home construction and
development.
Recently, Grant passed very
quickly from Melanoma (skin
cancer), just before Christmas 2006. Grant started the "Reading
with Rottie" program in the Forsyth county
schools, a program that he, his wife Bridget and Jim worked
together on up until
the time of Grant's passing. Grant and Bridgbet were
awarded the Forsyth County "Volunteer of the Year
Award" for
the program. He leaves behind a loving wife and two wonderful
boys aged 10 and 6. He is missed tremendously.
Jim
is also very involved with his church, in leadership
for over 8 years with Small Group ministries, and leading
the KidsCo school aged kids. He is most
dedicated to his own
familiy, including his beautiful wife Amy, and 3 wonderful
children.
"There is much more to the story,
and I look forward to meeting you to share with you, and
to hear yours!"
